Star Mountain hires ex-Goldman partner in senior role
Star Mountain has named Peter K. Scaturro, a former partner at Goldman Sachs Global Private Client, as its new senior advisor.
Scaturro is a former chief executive of Citigroup Global Private Bank, where he was responsible for 98 offices in 38 countries.
At Goldman Sachs, he oversaw the firm’s $220bn (£167.28bn) global private client business and was a member of the firmwide Goldman Sachs business practices committee. He also served on the investment management division operating committee.

His appointment at Star Mountain comes as the firm seeks to boost its investments in US private small and medium-sized businesses.
“The lower middle-market provides a compelling market opportunity that I believe many investors haven’t yet benefitted from as a compelling complement to more traditional investment portfolios,” said Scaturro.

Star Mountain is an employee-owned specialised investment firm with more than $4bn in assets under management. It focuses on delivering systematic alpha and low market correlated returns from making private loans and private equity investments and purchasing secondary LP interests and assets in the larger, fragmented and resources intensive lower middle-market.
