Permira appoints co-head of climate
Permira has appointed Anish Patel as partner and co-head of climate to help drive its climate investment strategy.
Anish Patel, who will be based in London, will co-lead Permira’s dedicated climate investing team alongside Kush Patel, identifying opportunities across the climate transition value chain.
He has over 13 years of investing experience focused on the energy and climate transition sectors. He joins the private markets asset manager from Kerogen Capital, where he was a partner and senior member of the investment and portfolio management team.

And last month, Permira named former ACWA Power chief executive Paddy Padmathan as a senior adviser to the team.
“I’m thrilled to join Permira and lead the climate investing team alongside Kush,” said Anish Patel. “Significant efforts are needed to address the climate transition, including meeting challenges such as scaling new technologies, increasing renewable buildout alongside grid modernisation and accelerating energy efficiency and circularity. Permira has a strong track record of identifying and backing mega-trends, and is perfectly positioned to invest in the climate leaders of tomorrow, supporting their management teams to deliver transformational growth at scale.”
