Hilco Real Estate Finance (HREF), the UK bridge lending arm of US asset manager Hilco Global, has hired a senior business development manager to support its expansion plans.
Steve Allen (pictured) has more than 30 years of experience in financial services. He acted as a financial adviser for more than 20 years, and was a regulated bridging broker for SPF Private Finance and Clifton Private Finance.

For the last six years, he has worked in the bridging finance market, facilitating deals through his network of specialist finance brokers throughout the UK.
“We are delighted that Steve has joined us which will enhance our business origination capabilities throughout the UK,” said HREF chief executive Brad Altberger.
“This demonstrates our commitment to the UK market and is a sign of our continued expansion plans.”
Allen’s appointment comes after HREF hired Arrow Global’s Charlie Job in February to boost its UK origination activity.
HREF, which launched last year, is a UK subsidiary of Hilco Global, a US investment firm with more than $3bn (£2.4bn) in assets under management. It provides property finance solutions nationwide across various real estate sectors and capital structures, offering short term loans for growth, acquisition opportunities, development exits and refinancing exits with loan sizes ranging from £1m to more than £50m.
