BlackRock boosts private credit team with senior Goldman hire
BlackRock has expanded its European private debt team with a senior hire in France.
Camille de Lamotte has joined the asset manager as co-head of private debt origination in France and head of origination in Spain. He joins Guillaume Claire, co-head of France, in Paris and will focus on sourcing and executing mid-market direct lending deals.

De Lamotte was most recently with Goldman Sachs, where he was head of direct lending in France and Spain. Prior to that he worked as head of leveraged finance for GE Capital.
BlackRock’s private debt team is comprised of more than 30 people in four countries. It launched its European mid-market direct lending strategy in 2017 and has since invested over €13bn in more than 100 companies.
