Ely Place launches investor onboarding platform for GPs
Placement and advisory firm Ely Place Partners and US-based tech company Navable have launched a new platform which aims to make it easier for GPs to onboard new investors.
The platform – called Influent – is free to use and has been created with high net worth individual investors and smaller institutions in mind. It will allow GPs to onboard, manage, and administer these investors more quickly and efficiently.
“Working with many of Ely Place’s clients, it was clear that there was a gap in the market for a product that streamlines marketing to and onboarding smaller investors,” said Daniel Roddick, founder of Ely Place Partners.

“Navable’s blue-chip pedigree and proven technology makes our partnership an ideal fit, and Influent perfectly meets the need we identified.
“We are inviting GPs to try it out for free and become part of the Influent community.”
Influent allows GPs to upload their marketing materials and invite investors to complete electronic subscription agreements. GPs can continue to be hands-on in guiding investors through the process while also providing a smoother investor experience.

Ely Place and Navable plan to roll out an Influent marketplace in due course, which will give GPs access to capital from investors who wish to see new fund offerings. Registered investors will be able to browse opportunities, search for specific strategies or managers, express interest in new funds, and apply to invest in live products.
“The tech we built…has a natural application to other fund managers marketing to external investors,” said Jennifer Anderson, co-founder and chief executive of Navable.
“We’re hugely excited to launch Influent and help GPs overcome the problems they face interacting with smaller investors.”
