Daiwa’s DC Advisory hires private credit bankers
DC Advisory, the investment bank owned by Daiwa Securities Group, has beefed up its private credit expertise with two new appointments.
The bank has hired Michael Moore and Jono Peters from Union Square Advisors as co-heads of US private capital markets, according to sources cited by Bloomberg.
They will reportedly spend the majority time on private credit transactions.
Moore and Peters are set to join DC Advisory after a period of gardening leave, according to one of the sources, who requested anonymity as the appointments are not yet public.
Both Moore and Peters worked at Citigroup in leveraged finance before joining Union Square.
A spokesperson for DC Advisory declined to comment to Bloomberg. A Union Square spokesperson did not immediately respond to Bloomberg’s request for comment.
The private credit market is booming, with assets under management forecast to soar as high as $2.7tn (£2.1tn) by 2028, according to PitchBook data. Advisory firms have been keen to grab a share of the pie, especially as competition hots up between private credit funds and banks for deals.
