Finance partner Benoit Lavigne re-joins Ropes & Gray to advise on credit
Benoit Lavigne is re-joining private capital law firm Ropes & Gray in early January as a partner in its finance practice, based in London.
Lavigne, who previously held the same role at the firm, advises private credit providers and other lenders, as well as borrowers, on a range of finance matters including acquisition finance, general corporate lending, asset-based lending, restructuring, and workouts. He is ranked in the Chambers & Partners UK Guide 2024, with clients describing him as “very sharp and extremely commercial” and “able to handle all aspects of a time-sensitive deal effectively whilst keeping a commercial hat on”.

Ropes & Gray has extensive expertise in representing issuers and borrowers, as well as lenders, in complex financings across industries and geographies.
