CapitalRise names new head of origination
Property lender CapitalRise has appointed Lee Francis as head of origination for real estate finance, to help power the company’s growth plans.
Francis was previously a lending director at CapitalRise. Prior to joining the specialist lender, he worked across the corporate and structured finance and commercial real estate sectors at HSBC, Bank of Scotland, Clydesdale, and Santander.
“I am excited to drive CapitalRise’s lending growth strategy and fulfil the target to significantly expand our loan book,” said Francis.

“Our appetite to lend is strong and we have set ourselves ambitious targets, but they are by no means unrealistic if you look at the firm’s diverse and resilient funding lines, our team of property specialists, and the recruitment of some of the sector’s brightest talent.”

Uma Rajah, chief executive and co-founder of CapitalRise said that Francis’ promotion is a recognition of his “outstanding contribution to the CapitalRise journey over recent years.”
