CapitalRise backer joins board
Venture capital veteran Ted Orf has joined the board of CapitalRise, Alternative Credit Investor can reveal.
His new appointment took effect on 29 September, according to documents filed with Companies House.
“Ted is a trusted non-executive director at CapitalRise,” said Uma Rajah, chief executive and co-founder of the prime property investment platform.

“He has earned a board seat due to his position as the investor director representing the interests of one of the venture capital firms who have invested in CapitalRise since 2019.
“Ted will be instrumental to the continued rapid growth of CapitalRise, and we are delighted to formally welcome him to the board at such an exciting period for the business.”

Orf is co-founder of Revolt Ventures, the venture capital arm of real estate investment manager Meyer Bergman.
Revolt Ventures made a £1m equity investment into CapitalRise in 2019.
Orf is also a managing director at MARK, a real estate investment manager with €9bn (£7.78bn) in assets under management, according to his profile on business networking site LinkedIn.
Prior to co-founding Revolt, Orf worked with Value Retail, supporting the launch of the Chinese business and VR Retail Advisors. He then assisted with the launch of Anyon, which is a real estate technology investor and incubator based in Berlin.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics from Brown University and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
