Innovate Finance announces new hires, members
Innovate Finance has made a series of new hires and onboarded new partner organisations, ahead of a planned move into larger headquarters in London.
The fintech trade body has appointed Paul Worthington as its new head of regulatory affairs, as regtech and regulatory compliance is set to play a larger role in the fintech sector.
Furthermore, Joshita Ganesan has been named as Innovate Finance’s new membership associate, Lauren McLean has been appointed as the firm’s new marketing associate, and Jago Corry has been hired as a policy associate.

In an update to members, Janine Hirt (pictured), chief executive of Innovate Finance, revealed that the 37 new partners have joined the organisation. They include Apple, Coinbase, Mastercard, and TransUnion.
“I am also excited to share that Innovate Finance will be moving into new, larger offices at the end of November in the City,” added Hirt. “We look forward to welcoming you to our new space very soon.”
Hirt also announced the launch of the first ever Innovate Finance Fintech CEO Forum in London – a half-day event which will bring together the top brass from the highest-growth fintechs in the UK for peer-led discussions.

On the activism front, Innovate Finance is working on a fintech manifesto which will “outline the tangible priority actions needed from the government to support this thriving sector of our economy – offering both a vision and a roadmap on how to deliver,” said Hirt.
She added that some of the group’s areas of focus include open banking, consumer credit, economic crime, net zero, and regtech.
Innovate Finance has called for a new ‘regtech test’ when the regulators introduce any new regulations. It has also lobbied for a move away from a ‘one size fits all’ approach to regulation and the introduction of a start-up and scale-up test as part of a cost-benefit analysis of new regulations.
