PeerBerry originators have repaid more than 90pc of war-affected loans
PeerBerry originators have now repaid more than 90 per cent of war-affected loans.
The European peer-to-peer lending marketplace said that its business partners Aventus Group and Gofingo Group have repaid €45.52m (39m) of loans impacted by the war in Ukraine.
PeerBerry said that this comprises full repayment of war-affected Russian loans – totalling €20.27m – and repayment of “the most significant amount” of Ukranian loans, totalling €25.25m.

GoFingo Group repaid PeerBerry investors €200,000 in war-affected loans today, with the repayments processed in the middle of each month.
Aventus Group’s war-affected long-term loans are repaid monthly under the initial loan schedules.

“If there is no new major turbulence, it is realistic that our business partners will cover their war-affected obligations in full before the end of next year,” PeerBerry said.
At the start of this month, PeerBerry announced that it had exceeded €2bn of funded loans to date, after a record August when investors channelled €75.36m into the platform.
