Mambu names new chief executive
Cloud banking and lending software provider Mambu has named Fernando Zandona as its new chief executive.
Zandona (pictured) has served as interim chief executive since June, having previously held the role of chief product and technology officer.
As permanent chief executive, he will be based at Mambu’s head office in Amsterdam.

Mambu said he will now spearhead the business as it enters its next stage of growth.
“During his time as interim chief executive, Fernando has demonstrated deep industry and technical expertise, combined with a natural aptitude for leadership,” said Fritz Oidtmann, chairman of the Mambu board.
“His in-depth understanding of cloud technology, experience working in customer-centric businesses, and track record of developing high-performance teams focused on innovation are a natural fit with Mambu. We’re confident he’s the right person to take the business forward on a permanent basis, as we continue to transform the banking industry and help our customers to deliver delightful financial experiences.”

Zandona has more than 20 years’ technology experience, having held roles at Microsoft and Amazon.

Mambu has more than 280 customers worldwide, providing technology for new banks, lenders and fintechs, as well as helping existing financial businesses to migrate onto more modern tech stacks.
Earlier this month, Mambu was named in the Forbes 2023 Cloud 100.
