Dawn Capital promotes Dan Chaplin to co-head of fintech
Fintech investor Dawn Capital has promoted Dan Chaplin to partner and co-head of fintech and digital assets.
Chaplin has a stellar record, Dawn Capital Said, having helped to deploy nearly £300m in capital and having led the firm’s investments in a host of fintechs including open banking firm Tink.
As co-head of fintech and digital assets, Chaplin will sit alongside general partner Josh Bell, with a particular focus on payments, credit and infrastructure platforms.

The promotion makes Chaplin – who is a Forbes 30 Under 30 for Finance in Europe alumnus – one of Europe’s youngest VC partners, Dawn Capital said.
Chaplin’s portfolio history includes a host of early-stage software companies across the continent, including Cover Genius, Copper, Elwood, Billie, Acces Fintech and OpenGamma.

Dan joined Dawn from JP Morgan where he was involved in M&A transactions for European financial institutions. He graduated with a starred first from Oxford University followed by an MSt with distinction in Modern History.
