Lendermarket investors earned €5.6m in interest last year
Lendermarket’s investors earned €5.6m (£4.98m) in interest last year, the Dublin-based peer-to-peer lending marketplace has revealed.
In an end of year round up, Lendermarket shared that by the end of 2022, it had more than 12 thousand platform users, and a platform value of €44m. 332,000 loans were published last year.
The marketplace is now active in 10 countries, with lending partners in Peru, Nigeria, Spain and Scandinavia.
Furthermore, the platform confirmed that it has begun the application process for its European crowdfunding license and plans to submit this in 2023.

Lendermarket works with loan originators across the world to offer users a selection of P2P lending opportunities. In 2022, the most popular originator was Creditstar Group, which saw 325,000 loans published, earning €4.7m in interest for investors.
Quickcheck published approximately 7,000 loans and saw €429,000 invested.
Credory originated four loans with a total value of €162,000.
The platform also revealed that its newest lending partner Crediface has already published 75 loans in 2023, and is targeting an average annual return of 16 per cent.
The average interest rate earned by all Lendermarket investors for 2022 was 14.4 per cent.
