PeerBerry adds Kazakh short-term lender to platform
European peer-to-peer lending marketplace PeerBerry has added a Kazakhstan-based lender to its platform.
A Credit, launched by Aventus Group in Kazakhstan in February 2022, is a microfinance company that issues short-term loans to consumers.
PeerBerry investors can fund A Credit’s short-term loans for an 11.5 per cent annual return.
A Credit loans offered to PeerBerry investors include a buyback and a group guarantee, PeerBerry said in a blog post on its website.
The consumer lender has 15 employees and has lent out more than €500,000 (£429,802) to date.
The first loans offered by A Credit will be uploaded on to PeerBerry’s platform at the beginning of next week and will be available every business day.
“Make sure to include A Credit in your Auto Invest strategies if these loans meet your investment strategy,” PeerBerry said.
PeerBerry works with a number of loan originators across Europe to offer short term, long term, business, real estate and leasing finance products.
The platform marked its five-year anniversary last month and said it had accrued just over 61,000 verified investors.
Almost €1.5bn has been loaned via the platform to date, with investors earning average returns of 11.1 per cent.
Some of its portfolio is exposed to war-affected loans in Russia and Ukraine.
The firm said earlier this month that it had paid another €1.8m of these loans, meaning that more than 54 per cent of all outstanding Ukraine and Russia loans have now been repaid.
