EasyMoney mulls Europe entry
EasyMoney is in the “first stages” of considering an entry into the European market, Peer2Peer Finance News has learned.
A representative from the peer-to-peer lending platform will be attending EuroCrowd’s 11th Crowdfunding Convention this week, titled: “Next level – Expanding the Capital Market Union”.
The event is taking place on the 8 and 9 November 2022 at EuroCrowd’s offices in Brussels.
The focus of the event will be how crowdfunding and P2P lending can become a harmonised financial service across the EU as a result of the recent European Crowdfunding Service Provider Regulation (ECSPR).

EuroCrowd said that it has “specially designed the programme to support crowdfunding platforms in adjusting to the new market realities.”
EasyMoney is one of the UK-based platforms which has been confirmed to attend the event.
“With a brand like the EasyGroup, a European angle has always been spoken about,” an EasyMoney spokesperson told Peer2Peer Finance News.

“This event is the first stages in understanding the European market, challenges that could be ahead and what the legislation looks like. It’s also a chance to meet great people and understand their journey.
“We are fully focused on the UK market and delivering the best service that we can. This year our stats are incredibly impressive, and I look forward to sharing them in the future.”
