Assetz exceeds Seedrs target with 22 days left
Assetz Capital has exceeded its Seedrs crowdfunding target with 22 days still to go on its latest fundraising campaign.
By 30 August, the peer-to-peer lender had raised £296,258 from 234 investors, surpassing its original target of £250,000.
The lender’s last Seedrs funding round was also oversubscribed, with £1.5m ultimately raised against a target of £500,000. That campaign was subsidised by the government’s future fund.

Earlier this year, Assetz told its investors that the new Seedrs round was “a top-up to that conversion event.”
“It will also help support our mission to connect investors with businesses to address challenges in society and achieve fairer growth for all,” Assetz added.
It has been rumoured that Assetz will use its new funds to launch an initial public offering (IPO). In the past, the platform has been vocal about its plans to go public. In 2021, Assetz Capital told Peer2Peer Finance News that it plans to launch an IPO within the next three years.
The latest Seedrs campaign is due to end on 21 September 2022.
