Zopa’s P2P chief moves into customer experience role
Natasha Wear (pictured), Zopa’s former chief executive of peer-to-peer lending, has moved into a new role as director of customer lifecycle at Zopa Bank.
The move comes five months after Zopa permanently closed its P2P lending business in order to focus on Zopa Bank.
Wear was responsible for scaling Zopa’s P2P lending business, and helped the fintech’s P2P arm reach profitability in 2018 and 2019.
The platform paused all retail lending during the Covid-19 pandemic before closing for good in January 2022.
In her new role, Wear will be responsible for maximising customer lifetime value for Zopa’s 600,000-strong customer base. This will include taking ownership of the customer lifecycle from acquisition through to ongoing engagement, as well as cross-selling across the digital bank’s lending and savings products.

“This represents a natural next step for Tash in the business following the decision to close our retail P2P business,” a Zopa spokesperson told Peer2Peer Finance News.
“In her new capacity Natasha will oversee the new lifecycle team focusing on delivering enhanced customer value, better customer outcomes, and high customer engagement.
“Natasha’s mix of customer, product and commercial experience along with her deep understanding of Zopa makes her ideally positioned to make headway on what is a key area of focus for the business.”
