Bondster names new chief executive
Czech peer-to-peer lending platform Bondster has named Pavel Klema as its new chief executive, as it aims to secure its place as one of the top three platforms in Europe.
Klema (pictured) was previously chief executive at Polish lending platform Profi Credit, and has more than 14 years’ experience working in the financial services sector.
Bondster’s executive director Michäel März said that the platform was “looking for someone experienced, who has spent years working in finance, and who would also be interested in how we approach investing in Bondster”.
“We found both with Pavel Klema,” added März.
Klema aims to strengthen Bondster’s position in the Czech Republic and secure the platform’s position as top three European P2P platforms.

He intends to focus mainly on the acquisition of foreign investors, while also expanding the portfolio of investment opportunities on the platform and speeding up Bondster’s technological development.
“Despite the global economic hardship we are experiencing nowadays, the P2P sector is on the rise in a big way,” said Klema.
“I see incredible potential for Bondster’s further growth, and I am glad to be part of it,”
Earlier this year it was revealed that Bondster almost doubled its investments last year, despite the Covid-19 pandemic. More than €54m (£47.25m) had been invested through the platform by the end of December 2020 – an 80 per cent growth in money invested year-on-year.
