Zopa general counsel moves to payment platform
Olivia Broderick – Zopa’s group general counsel and company secretary – has left the peer-to-peer lender and taken up a new position at payment platform Checkout.com.
Broderick had been with Zopa since October 2016, and until recently, she was listed company secretary on Companies House. Before joining Zopa, she spent 10 years at Barclays and Barclaycard, as head of legal and principal legal counsel respectively.

Although Broderick’s replacement has not yet been announced, a Zopa spokesperson told Peer2Peer Finance News that existing head of legal Victoria Matthews has responsibilities which are consistent with those previously held by Broderick.
It is believed that Broderick officially left Zopa approximately one month ago.

Checkout.com is a London-based payment platform which launched in 2012. It completed a $230m (£186.3m) Series A round last year. Broderick is the latest addition to the company’s nine-strong legal team.
