Landbay team take on Tough Mudder challenge
LANDBAY employees are set to take on the Tough Mudder challenge again, in aid of a rare cancer charity later this month.
The team of 14 from the peer-to-peer lender will tackle 20 obstacles over a muddy 10-mile course of rough terrain.
They are raising funds for EHE Rare Cancer Charity, which provides support to people affected by Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE), a very rare form of vascular sarcoma.
There is almost no government funding for research into rare cancers like EHE.
“EHE is a very rare form of vascular sarcoma, which accounts for less than one per cent of all cancer cases,” said John Goodall, chief executive of Landbay.

“One of our employees was diagnosed with EHE two years ago and after a long battle, he won.
“We are fundraising for EHE Rare Cancer Charity to show our support for our colleague and friend, and for all other patients who are fighting against EHE.”

Tough Mudder London South will take place on 29 September at the Holmbush Estate in West Sussex.
The organisers say the course will include brand-new obstacles as well as old favourites that will challenge both mental grit and teamwork.
“Our goal is to raise as much money as we can and most importantly, to raise awareness for this rare form of cancer,” said Goodall.
