Apollo posts record Q3 origination and strong inflows
Apollo Global Management has reported strong inflows and record quarterly origination in the third quarter of 2026.
The alternatives giant’s assets under management rose to $1.07tn (£794bn) at the end of September, up 18 per cent year on year, after $53bn of inflows in the third quarter and $270bn over the past 12 months. Of the $53bn in quarterly inflows, $35bn came from asset management and around $19bn from retirement services, the firm said.
For credit in particular, Apollo’s assets have grown from $723bn to $870bn over the same period.

Record quarterly origination was driven by “significantly higher activity across all channels”, the firm said in its earnings release, taking the 12-month total to $356bn.
“Our strong third quarter results reflect the flywheel of our model, which starts with originating increasing amounts of good assets,” said Marc Rowan, Apollo’s chairman and chief executive.
“Origination reached a new high of $114bn in the quarter, and over the last twelve months, activity exceeded $350bn while our clients entrusted us with $270bn of inflows.
“Behind record pipelines and tangible momentum across the business, our core earnings power is growing and poised for a robust close to 2026 with a strong setup for 2027.”

The headline numbers came despite a GAAP net loss of $1.1bn, or $1.78 a share, which Apollo put down to unrealised mark-to-market losses on investments at Athene, its retirement services business, as interest rates stayed elevated.
Adjusted net income was $1.3bn, or $2.07 a share, the earnings release said.
